The leading Polkadot and Substrate developer conference, held across a repurposed 6-floor factory in Bangkok three days of education, hacking, and community building.

The Problem

The Problem

Polkadot needed to bring its developer conference back to its roots, away from corporate formats and closer to real builder culture. With Devcon happening in the same city that week, the bar for standing out was high and the timeline to pull it together was just 7–8 weeks.

What I Did

What I Did

Led the production team end-to-end, transforming an abandoned factory into a 6-floor conference venue complete with a rooftop beach, 24/7 hackerspace, custom art installations, stages, and full catering. Coordinated across 83 ecosystem partners and aligned marketing with teams including ChaosDAO, OpenGuild, and The Kusamarian.

The Solution

The Solution

A grassroots-first conference experience that put hacker culture at the centre, programming ran from morning into the night across three themed days (Education, Modularity, and JAM & Scalability), with $10K in bounties and speakers including Polkadot co-founders Gavin Wood and Robert Habermeier.

Outcome

Outcome

sub0 Reset put Polkadot back where it belongs, with its builders. A sold-out conference that proved grassroots culture and world-class programming aren't mutually exclusive.
